Here near our Cascades apartments, we have tons of orchards that offer a day out on the farm complete with hay rides, cider doughnuts and more. As different varieties of apples are ripe at different times of the season, check these orchards’ websites to see if they have your favorite this weekend!
Eastmont Orchards, located at 181 County Rd 537, Colts Neck which is 12 minutes from your Cascades apartment, is a 100-year-old farm that has been owned by the same family since day one.
Today, Eastmont Orchards sells all of their products directly to their customers through pick-your-own activities and their retail store, which allows them to offer everything at a lower cost. Besides apples, you can also find items such as sunflowers, honey, jam and straw bales here.
Battleview Orchards, located at 91 Wemrock Rd, Freehold which is 16 minutes from your Cascades apartment, is a quaint country store on a family farm selling fruit, pies and seasonal apple cider.
Since 1908, Battleview Orchards farm and country store has been owned and operated by the Applegate family. The farm allows the public the opportunity to pick their own strawberries, sour cherries, peaches, nectarines, apples and pumpkins.
